The Lye Masjid Committee have deposited £3,355 into "The Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Diamer - Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund".
May Allah Azzawajjal reward all the individuals from the community and around the world who have contributed to this cause and accept all your Duas Ameen. May Allah Azzawajjal guide this project with swift completion contributing to a prosperous Pakistan for generations to come.

New Masjid Progress Update - Jan 2019
Asalaam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters. I hope this update reaches you in the best of health and wellbeing. May Allah Azzawajjal keep us all steadfast on the Deen.
It's been a couple of difficult years with the progression of the Masjid. The committee have been trying their best with the assistance of the community to bring completion to this beautiful project. Understandably there has been a lot of concerns and Alhamdulullah negativity floating around the community has reduced. This is great news as this doesn't assist any cause. I urge you all to unite and share positive thoughts within our community. We have to complete this Masjid together and it cant be done without all of us moving forward together in the same direction and contributing to this cause in whichever way possible. All of your efforts and generosity have made this become possible. There have been numerous changes in personnel and such changes also contribute to delays in progression. It is inevitable that with big projects there will always be things which extend the timeframe of completion.
The committee has been holding meetings and discussions with various contractors, negotiating and discussing terms to ensure they are suitable in meeting our needs. A number of tenders for the next few phases of work are currently being arranged by the Masjid Committee and work will commence to complete the roofs and external building work in mid-January. The plumbing and heating will also be installed shortly afterwards In Sha Allah Azzawajjal.
We are working hard and it is our aim to have the main building ready so that we can hold the Taraweeh prayers in the New Masjid during Ramadan In'sha Allah Azzawajjal. Please continue to support us with your duas so that this becomes a reality, Bi ithnillah.
We submitted a planning application to alter the Minaret design which Alhamdulillah has been approved by Dudley Council. The application is for alterations to the existing approved Minaret design which is yet to be constructed. The existing approved Minaret design rises to a height of 12.4metres from ground level. This is the same height as the existing constructed domed Minaret. Our original proposal was to construct the Minaret at a height of 19.6metres which was amended at the request of the Council. We have had the design approved at 13.9metres which will be a great addition to the beauty of the design. The high minaret will have a traditional design and half moon crescent atop.
The large 1st floor area on top of the Multi Purpose Hall has recently been floored greatly increasing floor and prayer space. This was not part of the initial plans and has been an excellent addition to this project. A substantial main prayer hall has been formed which will serve our growing community for years to come.

Lye Ghausia Jamia Masjid was opened in 1978 initially for a small community of Pakistani's who had settled in Lye Cross. It has now expanded to a larger community catering for individuals from all over the world.
Lye Ghausia Masjid was established and Registered with the National Charity Commission in March 1986. Our aim is to promote and advance the Islamic (Hanifie Sunni Bralvey) religion. To Advance Education and provide facilities for the teachings of the core principles of the Islamic faith amongst the inhabitants of Lye, Stourbridge, Amblecote, Brierley hill, Quarry Bank, and Colley Gate areas, And generally work with local community groups / charities and look after the welfare of the community as a whole.
